Bird Watching
We are in an area that has attracted the Red Kite and these magnificent birds can often be seen soaring above Glynmeddig. For more information you can visit the Llandovery or Llanwrtyd Wells Kite Information Centres.

For those interested in history, there are Castles to visit within an hour:
* Stunning Cerreg Cennan at Trapp near Llandeilo
* Castell Coch, the fairy tale castle near Cardiff
* Caerphilly Castle with its outstanding water defences (3 moats!)
* Tretower Court and Castle near Crickhowell
* Llanthony Priory in the hills above Hay-on-Wye
The Museum of Welsh Life, St. Fagans - one of Europe's most outstanding open air museums.
Llancaiach Fawr Manor House, is one of the best surviving examples of a semi-fortified Tudor Manor House in the country. Throughout the summer you can visit on a daily basis to see history come alive as stories are acted out within the grounds.
The Roman site at Caerleon with its Roman Baths and Amphitheatre is only an hour away.
